DRAKE HOTEL REMODELS FOR 3 NEW SHOPS

(Chicago Tribune) - Three new shops will open in the Drake Hotel following remodeling of a 5,000 square foot ground floor area at the Walton Street and Michigan Avenue corner of the building.  Samuel W. Bailey, secretary-treasurer of National Realty and Investment Company, owner of the hotel, said yesterday.

The shops will have entrances from the street and from the hotel arcade.  They will be air conditioned.  The first shop is scheduled to open in October and will be announced soon, Bailey said.
